Community
FinOps community
FinOps runs on a community that shares more than most: practitioners, open tools, and the people who maintain them. Allyte contributes to it, and everything on this page is free, public, and owned by someone else.
The toolkit
What the Microsoft FinOps toolkit covers
A free, open source project for FinOps teams. It is Microsoft’s, and our people contribute to it. It covers reporting and analytics, optimization and alerting, automation, and learning resources, across more than one cloud.
- FinOps toolkit site
A quick overview of the tools, what each one helps with, and how to get up and running.
- FinOps toolkit documentation
The reference documentation for every tool in the toolkit.
- What each area holds
Our page on the toolkit, area by area, and what Allyte adds on top of it.
FinOpsHubs.com
Get more from your FinOps hub
FinOpsHubs.com gives you a richer way to analyze and visualize the cost data in the FinOps toolkit hub you already run, under your tenant and Kusto permissions, so the data stays where it is. The free tier is part of Community, and access starts through the waitlist.
Answers
Where to get answers
These are public places, open to anyone working with the toolkit. We hold the office hours and take part in the rest where we can.
- Office hours
Drop-in help with the toolkit, open to anyone. Allyte holds them alongside Microsoft contributors. The schedule and the meeting link are on the toolkit site.
- Join the FinOps Foundation
Its Slack is where practitioners talk to each other, and you’ll find us in the Microsoft-cloud conversations. Access runs through the Foundation rather than through us, so this is their join page rather than a channel link.
Public rooms answer a lot, but not everything, and not on your schedule. Plus and Premium are the paid plans with regular expert sessions, and subscribers get our time first. Nobody else is turned away.
